Tattoo Tuesday - MELT

Once upon a time, there was a local chef from Cleveland, Ohio who wanted to create a restaurant that was the perfect "combination of comfort food dressed up and beer." The entire concept of his restaurant grew because of his love for big, cheesy grilled cheese sandwiches. Ever since 2006, Cleveland’s Melt Bar and Grilled has offered many unique gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, such as The Westside Monte Cristo (honey ham, smoked turkey, swiss, american, crispy beer battered and deep fried, mixed berry preserves for dipping), The Parmageddon (two potato & cheese pierogi, fresh napa vodka kraut, grilled onions, cheddar) and the The Godfather (three cheese lasagna, hearty red sauce, provolone, garlic spiked bread, provolone cheese). All of their sandwiches are also offered vegetarian/vegan style, too! There is also a plethora of beers to choose from. At any given time, there are more than 150 beers on the menu, usually with around 20 on tap. The restaurant has a relaxed, comfortable and often full-to-capacity atmosphere. Melt puts a new spin on the same-old bar food and the often predictable selection of brews, and it does so in a setting that provides something for everyone.
With that being said, there is no wonder why everyone in the area rants and raves about this restaurant! There are even many people who have become part of the Melt Tattoo Family (me included) by getting one of their three logos tattooed somewhere on their body. After the tattoo is complete, you bring yourself and your new tattoo to Melt for a few photos. Once paperwork is finished, you get your official tattoo number and are presented with the Melt Tattoo Family card. With this, you get the great benefit of being a member - 25% off any purchase at Melt Bar and Grilled... FOR LIFE! Call us crazy, but unless you have tasted the ooey gooey goodness of a Melt grilled cheese sandwich, you won't understand.

This brings me to my reason for this post - Tattoo Tuesday. Yes, I have a Melt-themed tattoo. And I love the simplicity of the outline of its logo. And quite frankly, I would never have the guts to do much more with it (maybe some color) - but here are a few individuals who personalized their Melt tattoos in the most creative ways.

Would you ever get a Melt tattoo?
I guess that's some food for thought.

Graduation 2012

Yesterday afternoon, Megan graduated from high school. Being her big sister, it was a bittersweet moment for me. I was instantly taken back to the special day when I graduated. A strange and emotional feeling rushed over me as I thought, just four years ago I was sitting in those seats. Nervous smile on my face, speech in my hand, hope in my heart. And now, my sister has taken the same journey. What really left a huge impact on me about yesterday's festivities is just how fast four years can fly by. I know it's cliche, but it really does seem like just yesterday I graduated. Life after high school had begun and I had the opportunity to take on the world. I can only hope my sister feels the same way. She had some big shoes to fill, and she went above and beyond to follow in my footsteps. I could not be anymore proud. With that being said, I want to share part of her Valedictorian speech.

Class of 2012,
I would like to share with you the Three C's of Life: Choice, Chance, and Change.

Choice: Every choice we make impacts our lives whether we realize it or not. Over the past four years, we made choices to get up and go to school, choices to set personal goals, and most importantly, the choice to be here today.

Chance: As graduates, we have the chances that can take us many different places in life. We have the chance to go out into the world and become whatever we desire. From attending college to traveling the globe, we must embrace every possible opportunity to reach success.

Change: Adapting to change is a vital key throughout life, and we must be able to deal with the curve balls thrown at us. Greatness never happens without a few bumps here and there. As seniors, we must never forget the memories made, but must move on and fulfill our dreams.

You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change.

To my family, friends, teachers, and fellow classmates, I thank you.
Congratulations Class of 2012!

Hey everyone! I know it's been quite a while, but I have been such a busy bee these past couple of months. A majority of my time has been spent making sure this my final year of college. I have been maxing out on classes each semester and am currently enrolled in summer school. My goal is to graduate in Spring 2013. Fingers crossed! On the other hand, I also work part time and am pursuing my photography business on the side. Needless to say, free time is limited. But I am happy. I am busy. And I am doing what I have always wanted to do.

Mainly, I want to focus this blog post on my photography. I feel that I am at that point in my life where I want to make a career of this hobby. I have invested so much of my time, money, and passion into making this dream a reality. I have finally started to notice my work reaching others and that makes me happier than anyone knows. Over the past couple of months, my clientele base has been expanding. I have booked two weddings for the fall and taken two sets of senior pictures. These opportunities have been turning points in my potential career and both are major accomplishments to me. That is why, I wanted to ask for your support. Until I get my website up and running, I would like to ask for any followers out there to take a look at my photography page on Facebook and like it to help get my name out there.

Here are some photos I've recently taken!
My sister's prom and Jimmie & Andrea's senior pictures :)

Thank you for your support,
